Thursday night was great, not a planned shopnight, but homeboys from all over came out of the woodwork and down to the shop. It was fuckin awesome to see everyone! Some of the guys, I haven't seen in MONTHS, way too damn long. There was some barbecuing, bullshitting, and even some choppering going on..a very successful gathering.
I tried to maintain focus and keep my excitement contained, it was a bit tough to do, but I managed. My nose met the preverbal grindstone and I put my new rear wheel together. Since I am currently living on poverty status, I found a good used sprocket and rotor on the cheap and bolted them to a wheel I traded for. Awesome. Brand new Avon rear tire that I bought when I wasn't such a broke dick bastard. All of that combined equals a pretty sweet looking rear wheel. I yanked the old, crusty rear wheel off and slapped the new one on. Easy shit and made my chopper look ten times better. It even brought the tail end up a bit, leveling her out more. Hells yeah.
I'll be riding the shovel Saturday, so time to double check. I don't really want everything rattling off. We'll see what happens.
