Hello friends and buttholes. This shovelhead update comes from my home....not the shop...weird.. Anyhoo...to maintain some form of productivity amidst these days of shitty-ness, I got off of my ass and got some shit done.
I took my transmission from the corner of my bedroom out to the garage and threw a set of seals at her. I don't know if I was just really stoned or if I was just REALLY stoned, but..the main seal was being a prick. I emerged victorious. In your face.
A few days prior, I took my tranny out to el garagio and scrubbed the shit out of it...all this time, I thought it was black...just greasy as fuck.
George "my wife is white" Perry was kind enough to take my ratchet top home for repairs, and it is done. All I need to do now, is cut some new threads for an oversized drain plug, change the springs in the top, and this sumbitch is ready to put back in the bike.
So yeah, a victorious ending to an otherwise weak ass day. Bang bang.

Friday night hanging with Marty!
So, anybody who's met Marty Thorpe knows how awesome he is. Only after hanging with him for a few hours can you fully understand how rad he actually is. This motherfucker is R-A-D! I don't know if its true, I believe it, but I've heard Marty referred to as the God of All Things Badass. Direct descendent of the chopper gods themselves. I really heard that..maybe read it on the inter-webs..
I walked out my front door, across the street, where Marty is using some form of sorcery to fidget with his Christmas lights. I approach him, eyes wide, ear to ear smile. "Hey, what's up!?" I said, and he spun to greet me with a handshake. We exchanged "how's it going's" and decided that 'pulling weeds' was a good idea. You can't use round up on these weeds, if you catch my meaning.. I hoof it back across the street to fetch my gardening tools and then quickly back to Marty's. We indulge, and the stories begin.
Marty told of life experiences he's had, ranging from choppers, to growing up in Stockton, even down to raising Jamey. I stared on with a shit eating grin, barely asking questions, just soaking it all in. This. Is. Awesome. Listening to him talk, I could really feel the passion Marty has for motorcycles and life in general.
Marty has so many rad stories, some of which, I will be posting in the near future! Prepare your eyes and your hearts, this shit is real..and fuckin badass!
When the smoke had cleared and the beers had settled, I had the overwhelming 'holy shit' feeling. Just a tiny glimpse into Marty's life, where he's been, what he's done..this guy is serious. If you ever pass up the opportunity to hang out and bullshit with Marty Thorpe, you are a damn fool.

Last shopnight of the season! And shovelhead update??
So..tonight was bittersweet..on one hand, shopnight has come to a close, on the other, I GOT MY FUCKIN MOTOR BACK!
Dirty dan and I picked up my motor from Kafton on the way to the shop. We stopped by Tony's for a few to bullshit and talk him into coming by. He did.
We arrived at the shop, I carried my motor in, I received cheers and a few congrats. Fuck yeah! Thanks guys. I set my motor on the bench and stared in awe at the beauty laid before me.
Time passes, the homeboys show up in full force. Beer is consumed, meat is grilled, asses are slapped. Mostly by me..completely by me, I guess.. Sorry bro's.. The food was killer and the buddy time was much needed.
I dropped my motor in, shit eating grin the whole time.. Finally! I kept busy, knowing that I wouldn't have the opportunity to work on my chopper again for a while. I got quite a bit done, nick nack bullshit that had to be done sometime..
A pretty good night. Thanks to all of my friends. Some of you don't take enough credit for your awesome-ness. True story.

Tony's sign shop..again!
Well well..yesterday was particularly awesome. Hello! I had quite a bit of fun..
I met up with Tony "check out my hang down" Morelli and we headed to lodi lake to snap a few pictures for display art. So, I didn't know this, but...the lodi lake nature trails are fuckin RAD! We ran into a family of deer including a 6 pointer, who apparently didn't give a shit that we were there.. Tony snapped pictures while I scampered along behind him talking shit and making gay jokes. We ended up walking the whole trail finding tons of cool little spots, and shit to take pictures of...and pee on...
We abandoned the trails and headed to the taco truck. Tacos. Al pastor. Homemade corn tortillas. Awesome. In a sea of shitty taco trucks, Tony guided me through the storm. Showing me light of the al pastor. I love you Tony.
We headed back to the shop. Fucked up our bounty of tacos, and started some actual work. When I say we, I mean: Tony worked, I watched. Well..not the whole time...just most of it. I did some painting, Tony did some printing, I think we both took shits. Separately, of course.
After much dicking around, we decided to put the self leveling clear on the countertop..please let this go well!! Tony mixed the shit up in a bucket, poured it on, did a bit of smoothing, which led to a bunch more smoothing..we let it sit for a while and blew out all of the bubbles like a couple of retards. Anyhow, we got it done and it looks killer!
So yeah, it seemed like we screwed off a lot, but we actually got quite a bit done. Yesterday was a good day, a good day indeed. Hopefully the future is full of days like this! Yaaaaaeeeerrrrr!

Tony's sign shop!
So, it's been a couple weeks of no updates..I'd like to apologize to all three of you loyal readers.
Anyhoo....Tony is making great progress with the sign shop! This past week, Tony and I did a bit of work on his countertop. If you're a huge fan of huge flake, there's a pretty huge chance that you'll dig his counter. This thing looks fuckin awesome. Not done yet, but is well on it's way.
Peep out the pictures. The base for the counter is goddamn superb. Atta boy Tony! No one has a better eye for detail than Tony "big badda-boom" Morelli.
The past couple weeks have been a downpour of doo-doo, but a few friends in particular have made them worth a fuck. You know who you are. Thank YOU!

Shovelhead update!
Today was a good day, thanks to some very special friends of mine. You know who you are! Hello!
I hand built a headlight bracket out of a couple of spacers papa had stashed away. I coped em, ground em, and mig'd em together. After some over/under thinking, I got the bracket looking somewhat cool and welded it to my lower tree. Did some grinding, filing, and dremel'ing and made her look a bit more presentable. It might be a little crooked, but hey, fuck it...so am I.
To my friends: you guys made this day worth a shit. Thanks! Also, the action photos were taken by George "I know my shit" Perry.
